In March 2022, two years later than originally planned, Wythenshawe's first Public Living Room opened. It was a weekly space where people could come for a brew and natter and just be themselves. I set it up with Colette from Thrive Mcr and with the support of the Camerados and Benchill Community Centre.

What is a Public Living Room? 

A Public Living Room is a no agenda space that offers the company of fellow humans. They're set up and organised by people in communities and are open to all. Each one is unique but underpinned by the Camerados principles.

 

A Public Living Room can be anywhere! The second photo shows me at a pop up PLR in a Wythenshawe park during summer 2022.
